Spain will Say Yay with Barei in Stockholm

The first song that will surely perform in the grand final is now revealed thanks to Spain, who sent Barei to Eurovision with the upbeat song 'Say Yay'. The song was chosen from Spain's national final 'Objectivo Eurovision'. This entry is actually the first Spanish entry, that does not contain any Spanish language which means that it is being sung in English.

The song might be another upbeat but I immediately loved it and this year, Spain has a really high potential to get a good place as this song is indeed a masterpiece and it is sung fully in English. Barei's vocals are also amazing and then when you add this with an amazing stage setting and performance, this song would indeed do an amazing job and go to the top 10.

In Objectivo Eurovision itself, Barei is one of my favorites along with Maria Isabel and Xuso, so I'm glad that my favorite could win again. Barei's performance was indeed energetic and her vocals were amazing, maybe Spain could go back to the top again this year with this entry as it is truly amazing. Well, I would give this song an 8 on the scale of 10 and I really hope that Spain could do well this year.

Overall, good luck to Barei who would be flying the Spanish flag to Stockholm with Say Yay!!!

"Come Together" to the 2016 Eurovision

The logo and slogan of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest

After months of waiting, the logo of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is already released along with the slogan. I must say that it was indeed worth the wait and the logo exceeded my expectations, the slogan still has the peace and unity concept but this one is delivered with different words and with a really catchy one.Well, for the past few years we have had amazing logos and SVT did a great job in making the one for the 2016 contest.

The logo has a galactic colour scheme which is indeed amazing and the globe, seems to represent the Sony Ericsson Globe that will be the venue for the 2016 Eurovision song contest. The stars in the globe, seems to represent the way people from different parts of Europe or the world to come together and be united through music. When we are united we could shine as bright as a star and give light to the dark, this really shows the power of music which could unite people with different beliefs or opinions. This actually brings Eurovision back to the reason on why it was made, as the biggest contest in the world had been uniting many people for the past six decades and now it is 61 years old already.

Many people, had came together through this contest and watching Eurovision is also something that could be done to unite people as people come together when they watch it albeit some of them might not like it at first but once you watch the whole thing you would end uo falling in love with the contest and you would not regret it. The contest was made to unite Europe but it turn out that, it did not just unite the continent but also the world and many human beings in the world.

Well, I just hope that Eurovision would stay the same and no more non-European related country would join as it is good the way it. Australia is fine but I hope that countries like Lichtenstein or Kosovo will debut and maybe Monaco, Andorra or Luxembourg could return to this wonderful contest. Albeit I come from Indonesia, I think that having an Indonesian performing in the contest is already a great thing and Eurovision should stay as it is, a contest done by European and European related countries with intercontinental fans. Maybe, if the non-European related countries want to join, they could send someone of their origin to join.

Belgium sends Laura Tesoro with "What's The Pressure?"

Belgium sends a jazzy and upbeat song titled "What's The Pressure?" being sung by Laura Tesoro, who won the 2016 Eurosong. The song itself is nice, but not a really good floor filler and Laura's vocals are actually great too. The song did start with a least strong verse but the chorus gave life to the song, which makes the song helps us release the pressure because what's the pressure?

I might say that this song doesn't have a high chance for qualifying due to her weak vocals, but its only the national selection and I am think that Laura could qualify, if she strengthens her vocals. In the national selection, the chorus actually helped in giving the life to the song as it was hard for me to absorb the first verse of the song but the chorus made me like it. To be honest, I actually struggled to write this article as I didn't like it at the first part but as soon as it grows on me, I'm starting to love it. My favorite was actually Amaryllis with 'Kick The Habbit', which is my favorite in this year's Eurosong.

Nevertheless, I think that Laura should try to give more power and release the pressure to improve the song and give it more power. Maybe, there should be some special effects like the proxy and a stage setting which could really blend in with the song. In that way, this song might be a favourite if she could do well in Stockholm and I hope that she would not feel the pressure, as What's the Pressure?

Well, good luck Laura Tesoro and we can't wait to see you in Stockholm!!!

Turkey "returns"to Eurovision and San Marino announces ther delegation

A dream of many Eurovision fans had came true, as Turkey had announced their return to Eurovision. They are not returning as Turkey but they are returning indirectly as San Marino, would send the Turkish singer, Serhat, to Stockholm. This might be different from the past few years this micro country, had been importing their entries from Italy since their debut in 2008, unfortunately San Marino would not be sending anything Italian anymore.

This country had participated in the contest for six times with the best result of landing in the 24th position of the grand final back in 2013 and special credits goes to Valentina Monetta, who had already became San Marino's hero. This is also not the first time for San Marino to not send Italian singers, as they sent Russian singer, Kamilla Ismailova, to the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. I must say that I am indeed dissapointed, as I really want to see Valentina Monetta back in the contest or maybe, San Marino's 2014 Junior Eurovision delegation in the adult contest, like their band member Anita Simoncini, who sung the 'Chain Of Lights' in Vienna bac in 2015, with the 2013 Junior Eurovision delegatiom, Michele Perniola.

I don't have much to say about this but I hope that San Marino could do well and it is indeed a great thing to know, that Turkey is taking part. I must say that I didn't predicted any Turkish singers to fly the San Marinese flag but things can't go the way I want to, so who knows that San Marino might do well. Well, good luck Serhat and see you in Stockholm!!!

Albania sends a 'Fairytale' to Stockholm

Before 2015 ends, Albania becomes the first country to announce their entry.

The 2016 Eurovision season had begun and we finally have a song for our top, albeit its just a top 1 we could still have a list thanks to Albania. This country sends 33 year old beautiful Albanian singer, Eneda Tarifa with the song Perralle which means 'Fairytale'. This entry is selected through the 54th Festivali i Kenges, which is Albania's national selection. This singer really proved that third time's luck does exist,as she previously joined the contest in 2003 and 2007, unfortunately she failed to get the trophy. But now she got it and she would be singing the powerful song titled Perralle.

This song itself is really good and powerful, I must say that I prefer this year's entry compared to last year, albeit "I'm Alive" is also a good song. The song has verses which goes in a slow tempo but it starts to release its power as we go to the chorus, which really shows the power of this song. I am not a fan of Albanian language but I must say that this song blends in really well with the Albanian language, so I just hope that it wouldn't be changed to the English version, as it is already beautiful in this condition. Eneda Tarifa herself has powerful vocals, which really helps in exerting the power of the song.

Overall, I just hope that the song nor the language would be changed as it is wonderful the way it is. To add the matter of a fact, I hope that the song wouldn't have a sudden change too. I would give it a 7 out of 10 at the moment and I must say that, if this song manages to stay strong until all the entries are announced, it would have a high chance to qualify and maybe they could get a good position. Nevertheless, I would like to wish a good luck and all the best to Eneda Tarifa!!! All of us couldn't wait to see you in Stockholm!!!
