Ira Losco is back with "Chameleon" for Malta 2016

On 24 January 2015, Malta had finally selected their entry through the Maltese national selection, 'Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2016' which is also known as the MESC. They sent the winner of their national selection, Ira Losco with her song Chameleon, which is indeed a wonderful and invincible song.

The name Ira Losco, is indeed a familiar name for the Eurovision fans as this Maltese beauty had represented the island country back in 2002 with the song '7th Wonder'. She was indeed a favorite back then and that is why, she succeed in giving this island country their one of their best results by securing the second place back then in Tallinn. When she joined the national final, she instantly became my favourite as her song stole my heart and her voice was indeed magnificent. The song itself is wonderful, as it becomes much more powerful as you go further with the song and it has a wonderful beat. Ira Losco's vocals are also amazing and she expresses the song really well in my opinion.

Overall, I rate this song an 8 out of 10 as it is indeed amazing and Ira's vocals makes the song sound much more better indeed. I guess that Malta has a really high chance to qaulify this year, as this song really fits for the grand final and it is still growing on me.

Will Ivan help Belarus fly to the grand final?

Belarus had sent their entry, which is a song titled "Help You Fly" sung by Alexander Ivan, which was chosen through their national selection. I must say that this song is just okay, as I do not find nothing special as it needs some improvements for it to be a decent song to qualify in my opinion. This year there wasn't much good songs which fits my complicated taste but I actually like this song and it has a high chance to grow on me, if there could be improvements in the performance.

I must say that the song actually started really well and in the chorus too, but the clarity of the verse needs to be improved. The chorus is good but in my opinion, the song is not that weak if the verse has a higher clarity and if the verse is more expressive. Ivan actually has a good voice but I guess that he needs to get rid of the nerves to help him fly to the grand final. I also had other favorites but this was in my fifth and my winner was Anastasia Malashkevich with Pray For Love.

Well, I would like to apologize if I sound negative but I am just stating my opinion and I am rating it a 5 out of 10 at the moment, but I hope that his vocals in Stockholm would be stronger and maybe this song could grow on me as I think that it has the potential to do so. Good Luck Alexander Ivan and we can't wait to see you in Stockholm!!!

Belgium sends Laura Tesoro with "What's The Pressure?"

Belgium sends a jazzy and upbeat song titled "What's The Pressure?" being sung by Laura Tesoro, who won the 2016 Eurosong. The song itself is nice, but not a really good floor filler and Laura's vocals are actually great too. The song did start with a least strong verse but the chorus gave life to the song, which makes the song helps us release the pressure because what's the pressure?

I might say that this song doesn't have a high chance for qualifying due to her weak vocals, but its only the national selection and I am think that Laura could qualify, if she strengthens her vocals. In the national selection, the chorus actually helped in giving the life to the song as it was hard for me to absorb the first verse of the song but the chorus made me like it. To be honest, I actually struggled to write this article as I didn't like it at the first part but as soon as it grows on me, I'm starting to love it. My favorite was actually Amaryllis with 'Kick The Habbit', which is my favorite in this year's Eurosong.

Nevertheless, I think that Laura should try to give more power and release the pressure to improve the song and give it more power. Maybe, there should be some special effects like the proxy and a stage setting which could really blend in with the song. In that way, this song might be a favourite if she could do well in Stockholm and I hope that she would not feel the pressure, as What's the Pressure?

Well, good luck Laura Tesoro and we can't wait to see you in Stockholm!!!

Ireland sends Nicky Byrne to "burn" Stockholm with Sunlight

This entry has the high possibility to qualify, after two consecutive year for Ireland to not qualify to the grand final. Its an upbeat entry sung by the former member Westlife, Nicky Byrne. This isn't Nicky Byrne's first appearance in Eurovision as he had appeared in 2013, 2014 and 2015 as Ireland's spokesperson which means that, he is the one who had been reading out the points. Maybe, he would emerge to the grand final and get points from the spokesperson as I am currently in love with it.

The song itself if amazing and I really love the beat, by that I mean that I really love the wonderful beat of the song. I must say that this is indeed a good floor filler in a party and maybe the crowd would dance, when he sings in the sunlight. His vocals are fine in the studio but it would be better, if the vocals are stronger in the live so that it could increase the chance for it to qualify. For the performance, I believe that it would be better for it to look and feel energetic, in order for it to not be forgetten. Maybe he should perform like Jedward which is indeed enthusiastic and Nicky Byrne might do a great job on stage.

The songs in 2014 and 2015 was also amazing, unfortunately it was a really tight competition in 2014 albeit we felt our heartbeat in the wondrous live performance and it should have qualified in my opinion and the live version was much better than the studio one. 2015 was great too, unfortunately Molly wasn't really making us play with numbers to make us vote as her performance was forgettable. I hope that this would do a great job in Stockholm and Nicky Byrne could give Ireland the sunlight, so that they could qualify.

I rated this song an 8/10 at the moment and good luck to Nicky Byrne, who would be flying the Irish flag in The Sony Ericsson Globe!!!

Albania sends a 'Fairytale' to Stockholm

Before 2015 ends, Albania becomes the first country to announce their entry.

The 2016 Eurovision season had begun and we finally have a song for our top, albeit its just a top 1 we could still have a list thanks to Albania. This country sends 33 year old beautiful Albanian singer, Eneda Tarifa with the song Perralle which means 'Fairytale'. This entry is selected through the 54th Festivali i Kenges, which is Albania's national selection. This singer really proved that third time's luck does exist,as she previously joined the contest in 2003 and 2007, unfortunately she failed to get the trophy. But now she got it and she would be singing the powerful song titled Perralle.

This song itself is really good and powerful, I must say that I prefer this year's entry compared to last year, albeit "I'm Alive" is also a good song. The song has verses which goes in a slow tempo but it starts to release its power as we go to the chorus, which really shows the power of this song. I am not a fan of Albanian language but I must say that this song blends in really well with the Albanian language, so I just hope that it wouldn't be changed to the English version, as it is already beautiful in this condition. Eneda Tarifa herself has powerful vocals, which really helps in exerting the power of the song.

Overall, I just hope that the song nor the language would be changed as it is wonderful the way it is. To add the matter of a fact, I hope that the song wouldn't have a sudden change too. I would give it a 7 out of 10 at the moment and I must say that, if this song manages to stay strong until all the entries are announced, it would have a high chance to qualify and maybe they could get a good position. Nevertheless, I would like to wish a good luck and all the best to Eneda Tarifa!!! All of us couldn't wait to see you in Stockholm!!!

Believe to achieve your dreams (Russia 2008-Dima Bilan-Believe)

In 2008, Russia won the Eurovision in Belgrade and brought the contest to Moscow. 'Believe' is indeed a motivational masterpiece by Dima Bilan, if I had to be honest I prefer Believe over Never Let You Go, albeit I like both of them. There are a lot of factors for it to win but the performance in 2008, really showed the true meaning of the song.

First, let's talk about the song itself which is totally amazing, it's a really nice song and the violin parts makes the songs even better. The song actually shows us that, we could only achieve our dreams if we work hard and believe. As when we have something to believe in, we wouldn't lose hope and we could accomplish our dreams, we should keep moving on so that things will never be impossible and in that way, our dreams could be accomplished. The violin really helps us in feeling the song, and the song also reminds us that there is not a limit to what you can dream, fi you have something to believe in. One of the things that you could believe in, is yourself as it is your dream and you could only believe it if you have the right amount of confidence to achieve it.

The performance in Belgrade was stunning, as it really helps in projecting the meaning of the song as you could achieve your dreams if you just believe. The three performers on the stage could be considered as professionals, Dima Bilan is a professional singer, Evegeni Plushenko is a professional ice skater and Edvin Marton is a professional violinist. The live performance, is showing a group of people who had worked hard and believed to achieve their dreams and they did achieve, maybe the faced many storms and thunders during the journey but at the end they made it, they had succeed in overcoming the unthinkables and now they made it into a reality. I don't have much problem with the performance as it fits the song really well and the three of them did a great job. Maybe Dima Bilan won as he believed that he could get the Eurovision trophy and that's why he came back to try again and he did get it.

Overall, I must say that we should keep believing in our dreams and never lose hope, keep working hard as nothing comes from dreams but dreams, you could turn the unthinkable to reality if you want to believe and work hard. Do not be afraid to achieve your dreams, as you could achieve it as long as you work hard and believe in yourself.
