How did I start to love Eurovision and how did I know it?

Hey guys, in this post I will tell you on how did I start to love the Eurovision, wether its the adult or the junior one, but I believe that I will start with the adult Eurovision one and then go to the junior one.

So guys, I knew the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012, which was the year when Sweden won for the fifth time, in Baku, Azerbaijan. Well, I knew the Eurovision from my Swedish uncle, when I was having my summer holiday in Sweden, even though I am an ABBA fan, I just knew about ABBA, in the 2013. So, he introduced me to the song Euphoria by Loreen and I fell in love with it, from the first time I heard it and yes, it is truly an amazing song and it totally deserved to win. The next Eurovision artist that I knew was not ABBA (then when did I know them?) but an artist who I knew before Loreen, as she is actually famous in Indonesia already and it was Anggun, who represented one of the big five nations, France, with the song Echo, I like the song but the performance in Baku, was kind of disappointing.

Then the next artist I knew, was Emmelie De Forest, who won in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, representing Denmark with the song Only Teardrops (infact I really liked it), it was a great performance, great song, Emmelie did it really well but too bad she has no shoes with her (yeah I know its an old joke) but she still did really well and she deserved to win. Well, I did not do another research in the Eurovision Song Contest until the 2014 contest in Copenhagen. But before we continue to 2014, I will tell you on how did I came to know about ABBA, who became my favorite band, well my uncle and aunt introduced me to Mamma Mia, then I fell in love with that movie and the songs, then I heard Waterloo, which was ABBA's winning song and then I became a big ABBA fan, as I fell in love with all of their songs, so thats for ABBA.

So, now lets talk about 2014, the year when I become an active Eurovision fan, well in 2013, besides knowing Emmelie De Forest from Denmark, I also knew Robin Stjernberg from Sweden with his song You, I did not like it that time but I fell in love with it, after listening to it a couple of years later but lets comeback to 2014. So, the first song that I knew was surely from Sweden, with Sanna Nielsen singing her song Undo, then I knew the winning song, who is the fabulous bearded lady, Conchita Wurst and her song Rise Like A Phoenix. Well, after that from 2014 I knew Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Germany, Ukraine, Netherlands and many other countries. About 2013, I knew about Ukraine, Norway, Belgium and the others in 2014, well it may be late but its better to be late than never.

In 2014 itself, I started finding out about the winners and I found out that Celine Dion, won the Eurovision in 1988, representing Switzerland and her song Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi and I also like that song, even though I do not understand it that much, as I do not speak French but I plan to learn French soon. Besides that, in December I became a Junior Eurovision fan, well of course the first country that I knew that year was Sweden, with Julia Kedhammar and her song, in fact I fell in love with it too. Well, after that I found out about Italy, who is Vincenzo Cantiello and the song Tu Primo Grande Amore.

So, lets come to the point on why do I love the Eurovision Song Contest, the first thing that I will say, is that I really love the songs, most of them and I also found out, that there are many songs that also sounds good, even though they are not sung in English. The second thing, is that I actually think that Eurovision has many talented singers, even though most of them are not so famous but it makes me realize that, sometimes infamous things turned out to be better, than the famous one. Well, Eurovision has taught me about many things like music, history and others and I will write about what I learnt from Eurovision, on my next post. The other reason for me to love Eurovision, is because there is always something new, every single year, wether its the slogan, logo, stage, postcard, contestant, songs, venue, well we always get something new each year.

Well guys, actually there are like a million reasons for me to love Eurovision, I mean Eurovision is different and thats why Iove it. So, thats about me on how do I start to know and love Eurovision but in my next post, I will write about the things that I had learnt from Eurovision. So, thanks for reading guys, I hope you like it, feel free to comment and keep waiting for my next post.
